PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY ACTIVITIES @ SNS TECH 

INDIAN SOCIETY FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (ISTE) CHAPTER

The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, nonprofit making society registered under the societies registration act of 1860. The ISTE Students Chapter(No. TN-159) has been established at our college and functioning from 2004. Our college is also an institutional member (No. IM 1178) of ISTE from 2004. At present about 500 students are ISTE members. The ISTE day is celebrated at national , section and chapter level on 21st may every year. The students activities like paper presentation, quiz, marketing and seminars are being conducted periodically under the banner of this chapter.

SOCIETY OF AUTOMATIVE ENGINEERS (SAE Student Chapter)

functioning from 2004. Our college is also an institutional member (No. IM 1178) of ISTE from 2004. At present about 500 students are ISTE members. The students activities like paper presentation, quiz, marketing and seminars are being conducted periodically under the banner of this chapter. SAEINDIA is a professional engineering society whose membership  represents practically every engineering and scientific discipline. Its members combine their specialized abilities to further advance the research, development, design, manufacture and utilization of vehicles which operate on land, water, air, and space. Be a part of global organization whose benefits are geared specifically to the needs of the mobility engineering community. Our formal education and professional development will be enhanced through our SEAINDIA member benefits.

SAE Students Chapter has been established and functioning in our college from 2012. Our College Club has about 70 student Members (Membership No. from 7120423983 to 7120424052) and 2 Faculty Members (FA Membership No. 7120410920 & 7120410921). Conference / Seminar / Workshop are being arranged through this SASE India Students Chapter. For benefit of the students they are sent to various activities conducted by SAE India- Chennai Chapter.

COMPUTER SOCIEY OF INDIA(CSI)

The CSI Student Chapter(No. I00922) and Institutional Membership(I01044) has been established at our college and functioning from 2006. At present about 100 students are members in CSI Student Chapter. Guest lectures by experts both from academia and industry, leadership and personality development programmes, seminars, essary writing etc.. are being arranged periondically for students and faculty members.

INSTITUTE OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING (IEEE)

The IEEE is a non-profit and world's largest technical professional association established from the advancement of technology worldwide. IEEE Publishes technical literatures, journals, transactions and magazines, conference proceedings in electrical, electronics, computer sciences engineering. About 100 students have enrolled as Student Membership in IEEE and 10 faculty members enrolled Staff membershsip in IEEE. To facilitate the students activities, an IEEE student branch is established with the approval of IEEE, NJ on 25.09.2008.

INSTITUTION OF ELECTRONICS AND TECCOMMUNICATION ENGINEERS (IETE)

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading recognized professional society devoted to advancement in Electronics, Telecommunication & IT. The Government of In dia has recognized IETE as a scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and notified it as an educational Institution of national eminence. Students Forum of IETE (ISF) was launched in SNS college of Technology on 10th September 2008 by Prof.K.Gangadharan, Founder Honorary Secretary, Ex.Chairman IETE Coimbatore sub center, Chairman – IT, Amrita University, Coimbatore.

THE INDIAN SOCIETY OF HEATING, REGRRIGERATING AND AIR CONDITIONING ENGINEERS (ISHARE)

The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) was started at Delhi in 1981 and a chapter was started at Bangalore during 1989. Between 1989 to 1993, ISHARE chapters were formed in all major cities in India and also in the Middle East. ISHARE is an International associate of the American society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE).

ISHRAE has recognized that the training of technical personnel, is the single most important need at present, to improve the quality of Heating, Ventilating, Air conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC & R) work and improve it to meet ever increasing customer expectations. It has also been felt that existing man power needs continuing education to update them with the latest technology. This has become particularly relevant in the wake of globalization of the Indian Economy. Many industry leaders have also strongly expressed the need for such a training facility.

 

ISHRAE student chapter has been established and functioning in our college from 2007. Our college is also an Institutional member of ISHRAE from 2007. At present, about 50 students are members. Guest lectures by eminent professionals from academics and industry in the field of Heating, Refrigerating and Air conditioning are being arranged.
