The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2002 with the intake of 60 students. By the year 2007, the intake of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering  has been increased to 120 and upgraded into a PG department.

The Department has experienced significant growth over the last few years, and is now home to 30 faculty, with strong groups in theory, systems, graphics/media, programming languages, computational science, security, AI, data mining and machine learning, distributed systems and grid computing, operating systems and computer networks, computer security, and scientific computing.

Students in computer science have the unique opportunity to draw from the expertise of an outstanding faculty with extensive experience in industry, teaching, and research. Computers currently available to students include an extensive department network of UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft workstations and several departmental computer laboratories.

CSE encourages student innovation. We don't want student to simply be expert practitioners in evolving Computer technology. We want CSE graduates to be the creators of future generations of Computer and Engineering technologies.

CSE is committed to developing professional skills, like communication, entrepreneurship, and project management.

Of course, CSE department is not just about lectures and assignments. It's about getting involved in a whole new range of activities on Campus

Our faculty and students work together in an environment that fosters teamwork and leadership as well as a caring attitude toward our students.

 

NBA Accreditation

The undergraduate Computer Science and Engineering program that awards the degree Bachelor of Computer Science is accredited by the NBA.

NBA accreditation is a significant achievement.

The NBA is concerned with assessing and assuring the quality of the various constituent elements, such as academic ambience, infrastructure, financial resources, physical resources, human resources, supporting systems like library resources, computational resources, and avenues to mould and develop the students’ personality and learning characteristics.
