SNS College of Technology was founded in 2002 and has been administered and run by Sri. SNS Charitable Trust. This Institution was established with the concurrence of the Government of Tamilnadu, Affiliated to Anna University, Approved by AICTE, New Delhi and recognized by UGC. It is a self - financing and co-educational college and performs its academic duties with a motto of Sincerity, Nobility and Service. The College is located in a rural area on Sathy (NH209) road at Coimbatore. The College offers 7 Undergraduate courses, 6 Postgraduate courses and 2 Research Programmes. Three departments of the college namely CSE, ECE & IT are Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE-New Delhi for a period of 3 years. - Compulsory orientation Programmes for newly recruited faculty members conducted by senior faculty members and outside experts.
- Feedback on the performance of faculty members from students & senior faculty members (by attending lectures as observers)
- Introduction of class tutor and Faculty advisors system to Monitor the progress of the student in studies and all other extra curricular activities and provide support and counseling.
- ISO 9001 : 2000 quality system for the Institution.
- Creation of quality circles as part of TQM practice to improve academic standards.
- Identification of deficiencies of each student at the time of entry and providing additional input by way of extra classes and courses in soft-skill development.
- Periodical seminars by senior faculty members and outside experts.
- Conduct of mock interviews and guidance in Bio-data preparation in order to help the students in seeking employment.
- Use of educational aids such as LCD and OHP.
- Orientation programmes for fresh students and necessary steps to maintain discipline in the campus.
- Extra coaching classes for poor students who do not pass in internal assessment exams in First Attempt.
- Communication of progress of the students to parents.
- Coaching classes for GATE, GRE & TOEFL.
- Compiling past University Examination questions and answers and making them available to students.
- Maintaining records of every student.
- Student Motivation practices. "Stars of the week", "Stars of the Month" and "Stars of the Semester" are identified branch wise among the students, based on thier academic performance. The names of Rank holders with Photos are displayed in the Notice Board.
