IMPORTANT EVENTS - 2009 @ SNSCT

AICTE-ISTE Sponsored STTP :

The dept. of CSE conducted a one week AICTE-ISTE Sponsored STTP on Emerging Trends in Information Technology and Wireless Network from 24th Feb.2009 to 28^th Feb. 2009. Dr. N.R. Shetty, President, Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi was the chief guest.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp:

On 24^th, 25th and 26^th February 2009, a three day National Camp named Entrepreneurship awareness camp for students sponsored by NSTEDB, New Delhi and ISTE was conducted by ISTE Students Chapter and Department of Mechanical Engineering The Department of Science & Humanities (SHARP’09) organized a one day Science Exhibition on 09.03.2009.

Sports Day 2009:

The Annual Sports Day was conducted on 24^th March 2009. Colonel Onkar Singh Yadav Commanding officer / Station Commander 110 INF BN (TA) Madras, Indian Army, Coimbatore was the Chief Guest.

Third Graduation day 2009 :

The Third Graduation day for the students of 2008 batch was held on 29^th March 2009. Principal, Dr. V.P. Arunachalam welcomed the gathering and presented the report of the activities of the college, Honourable Dr.R.Radhakrishnan, Vice Chancellor, Anna University, was the chief guest.

Alumni Reunion - III 2009 :

Alumni Reunion Day for the academic year was conducted on 29^th March 2009 at 3.00 p.m at RNG Memorial Hall, and office bearers were elected The External Academic Audit was conducted on 31.03.2009 by Anna University Coimbatore, Coimbatore.

College Day 2009 :

College day celebration for the year 2008-2009 was celebrated on 3^rd April 2009 at the quadrangle, inside the main building. Dr.G. BAKTHAVATHSALAM, Chairman, K.G. Hospital, Coimbatore was the chief guest. He addressed the gathering and distributed prizes to the meritorious and also to the winners of various competitions. Dr. S. Rajalakshmi, Correspondent, SNS College of Technology welcomed the gathering and the Principal, Dr. V.P. Arunachalam presented the annual report 2009 of the college.

Best Outgoing Student Award 2009 :

The highlight of the function was presentation of The Best Outgoing Student Awards. Director cum Secretary Dr. S.N. Subbramanian, SNS College of Technology presided over the function. Founder Trustee Dr. V.S.Velusamy presented a special address on this special occasion. The expert committee members of National Board of Accreditation from AICTE have visited our college from 31-10-2008 to 02-11-2008 for the Accreditation of Under Graduate Programmes namely ECE, CSE and IT.

Digital Valuation Centre - EDC :

The Anna University Coimbatore, Coimbatore, Digital Valuation Centre has established established in SNS College of Technology for evaluating the answer scripts in online mode. As per Anna UniversityCoimbatore direction the institution has increased the internet bandwidth to 8 Mbps through RailtelCorporation of India Ltd., Services for enhancing the Examination Management System and ExaminationData Centre activities.
